Where do I get my benefits?

There are two ways to get your benefits above:  (1) Early pick-up  (2) Race day pick up.

Early pick up: You can pick up your walk number at West Stride running store from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday August 5, 2016. You will then pick up your bag of treats, rawhide, coupon and voucher at The Whole Dog Market booth at the Vinings Jubilee after 8:15 a.m.

Race Day Pick Up: You must pick up your walk number before the Dog Dash at the 1K registration table at the Jubilee. You must have a walk number to be part of the Dog Dash.  This table will be open at 8:15am. ou will then pick up your bag of treats, rawhide, coupon and voucher at The Whole Dog Market booth at the Vinings Jubilee after 8:15 a.m. You will then pick up your t-shirt at the t-shirt distribution center at the Vinings Jubilee.

Why can’t I bring an extendable leash?

Since we expect more than 1500 people, you are likely to have people very close to you. If the leash is more then 6 feet people are likely to trip.

Can I run/walk with my dog on the 5K?

We discourage you to run with your dog in the 5K.  Dogs and dog leashes can get in the way of runners.  Also, we will absolutely NOT allow dogs on buses.   If you choose to bring your dog to the 5k, you must start after everyone else has started and you must run slower than a 10 minute mile. You will have to walk from the finish back to the Vinings Jubilee for the after race party or back to the start. Click here for a map from the finish to the Jubilee. There will also be signs and others walking from finish to the Jubilee.   However, if you don’t mind starting after the runners and run slower than a 10 minute mile and walk to the Jubilee, we would love for you to join us for the 5k.  There is no extra cost for the dog.  There is no costume contest for dogs in the 5k.
